It was a brutal weekend for the TV industry, as the networks slashed their struggling series and issued notices to the casts and crews, informing them which shows survived the axe — and which ones didn’t.

The TV bloodbath came in advance of this week’s Upfronts presentations to advertisers in New York City, where the broadcast networks are unveiling their 2013-2014 programming schedules and revealing which new series and stars viewers can look forward to this fall on TV.
