Ingo Rademacher exited “Dancing with the Stars” on Tuesday night just short of the finale. But the determined “General Hospital” hunk, 42, could hold his head high after making it to the Final 5 with partner and fellow Aussie Kym Johnson. Plus, he won new fans through his adorable son Peanut, who stole the show every chance he got!

Ingo told reporters after the show at the “DWTS” 300th episode party that he was ready to leave. “It was a really fun experience–and I’m glad it’s over,” he said, as Kym laughed by his side.
“I’m relieved,” he told xfinityTV. “My knees are really killing me right now, standing here.”
Ingo knew the writing was on the wall after Monday’s show, in which his samba got the lowest score of the night. And he said if he had snuck through, “Somebody would have been really upset, because they all deserve a spot in the final,” referring to the remaining celebrities: Kellie Pickler, Zendaya Coleman, Aly Raisman and Jacoby Jones, who will all dance for the mirror ball trophy in next week’s Season 16 finale.

The actor said, “I had a fantastic time but I’m happy to also now go back to Hawaii, where I live.”
Ingo said of his son, who amused “DWTS” viewers by becoming the cast’s mascot, “Peanut wants to go back to Hawaii, too. He misses the property. He’s been saying he wants to go home already, but he really loved everybody.” So could being on “DWTS” have given Peanut the performing bug? “He loves to dance and he likes the cameras now, too,” Ingo said. “He’s like, ‘Daddy, when are the cameras going to come follow me? I want them to come follow me again.'”
The “GH” star couldn’t have been happier about his pairing with Kym. “I said to Kym, ‘It was nice having a partner I got along with.’ We had the same sense of humor. We didn’t take each other’s whining at all. Our favorite lines were like, ‘Oh, my knee hurts’ [and the reply would be], ‘Tell someone who cares, mate! Because I don’t give a s—!'”

When he returns to Hawaii, devoted athlete Ingo will train for two months for a 32-mile stand-up paddle board race from Molokaʻi to Oahu. Ingo will also appear at a “General Hospital” fan event on June 7, 8 and 9 with Vanessa Marcil in New York, and he will help his wife, Ehiku, promote her new clothing/active wear line, Mahiku.com, aimed at paddle board racers.
He also wouldn’t mind a return to “GH” in his role of Jax sometime soon. “If they call, I’m always ready to come back; it just won’t be during race season, it’d have to be after July,” he said.
From “DWTS,” Ingo learned, “You can do anything if you spend enough time at it. You surprise yourself and do it. It’s amazing!”
