You watched last week’s Part 1 of Jimmy Kimmel’s “Baby Bachelor” reality series, so you simply must watch Part 2, which we have right here, above — fresh from Tuesday night’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on ABC.
“The Baby Bachelor” is Kimmel’s elaborate spoof of ABC’s “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” franchises. In “The Baby Bachelor,” a small tousle-haired boy named Wesley — who’s more a toddler than a baby who we estimate is possibly 3 years old — is sifting through a group of age-appropriate female suitors (and one who is a good deal older).
Wesley happens to be Jimmy’s nephew, as Kimmel pointed out when he inaugurated this “series” a week ago.
To be candid here, when you first hear about this approach to spoofing “The Bachelor” and “Bachelorette,” you might wonder, cynically, how the “Kimmel” show would pull off something like this with a cast of children. But they do pull it off, and the thing works; it is hilarious. Please watch the latest installment, above.
