Hit FX series “Sons of Anarchy” is getting yet another visit from a cast member from “The Shield.”
Emmy-nominated CCH Pounder has signed on to the series for a multi-episode arc where she will play Tyne Patterson, “a San Joaquin County District Attorney who runs head first into the area’s violent biker ways,” according to Entertainment Weekly. She will first appear in the second episode in the show’s return this fall.
Pounder’s casting continues a trend on the show, with the casting marking the seventh “Shield” actor to guest star on the series. Other “Shield” veterans have included Benito Martinez, David Rees Snell, Jay Karnes, Walton Goggins, Jay Karnes, and Kenny Johnson.
Of course, there is a connection. Series creator Kurt Sutter was once a writer for “The Shield.”
