The late, great Johnny Carson is coming back to television, courtesy of Conan O’Brien.

O’Brien is set to host a new series on TCM, appropriately dubbed “Carson on TCM,” that will feature classic Carson interviews from his three decades as host of “The Tonight Show,” according to The Wrap.

“Conan has long idolized Johnny Carson, and he understands what it’s like to be on the other side of the desk. We’re thrilled to have him coming to TCM to share his unique insight and perspective,” said Jeff Greog, chief marketing officer of Turner Broadcasting.

The “Conan” host will introduce five Carson interviews each week on the new show, beginning with his 1982 interview with a seven-year-old Drew Barrymore. Other interviews on that episode will include Kirk Douglas, Mary Tyler Moore, Neil Simon and George Burns.

The series will launch on July 1 at 8pm.
