FX has cancelled “BrandX with Russell Brand,” FX Networks CEO John Landgraf announced Thursday.

The British comedian’s live weekly talk show ran for 26 episodes on the cable network. The last episode aired May 2.

Brand isn’t without a job at FX, however.

The network announced that they are staying in business with the raunchy Brit, ordering a new scripted live-action comedy pilot starring Brand. The new series will be loosely based on Brand’s life, set up in a mold similar to Larry David’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”
