“Curb Your Enthusiasm” star Jeff Garlin was reportedly arrested after he allegedly smashed another motorist’s windows in an apparent parking-space dispute.
Garlin, 51, was arrested on charges of “felony vandalism” in the Studio City section of Los Angeles on Saturday (June 15) at around 3 p.m. Pacific time, according to this story on TMZ.com.
An update Sunday morning on TMZ said Garlin was later released.
He was arrested by police after he allegedly “got into a verbal fight” with another motorist over a parking space and smashed windows in the other motorist’s car, a Mercedes.
The story didn’t provide any more details such as the identity of the other motorist, or how Garlin broke the car’s windows. Garlin is the rotund comedian who gained fame as Larry David’s fictional agent and manager, Jeff Greene, in HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”
But Garlin is also starring in one of ABC’s new comedies set for next season — a sitcom announced just last month called “The Goldbergs” for which the network has high hopes. There’s been no word yet if Garlin’s arrest will affect his status on the show.
