The baby daughter delivered by Kim Kardashian on Saturday “looks just like Kim” and weighed in at just under 5 pounds, according to an update from E! Entertainment Television.
“She has dark hair. She looks just like Kim,” the E! update said, citing an unnamed source (although E! should have plenty of sources on this story since “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” and the other Kardashian reality shows are E! shows).

On Sunday morning, there was still no word on the baby’s name (or if Kim, 32 and proud papa Kanye West, 36, had settled on one). Both mother and child are said to be doing well, although the birth reportedly came more than four weeks earlier than expected.
There were various reactions to the baby’s arrival from Hollywood types on Twitter, with many of the reactions coming across, to us, as unnecessarily (and inexplicably) mean for marking the birth of a child. For example — as reported here on the Hollywood Reporter Web site, celebs as varied as Josh Groban and Sally Jessy Raphael took the baby’s birth as an opportunity to slam Kim.
“OMG you guys have you heard the incredible news? 370,000 babies were born today!!!” tweeted Groban. “Kim Kardashian had her baby a month early?! It’s a bad omen when even your infant doesn’t want to b near u a minute longer than needed! Lol,” wrote Raphael. Our reaction to these tweets: Who asked them?
The meanest seems to be one that Jason Alexander, of all people, posted on Twitter and then reportedly removed. According to various stories, his tweet went like this: “Making Honey Boo Boo look like a MENSA member.” So, in one fell swoop, the man who will be known forever as mean, petty George Costanza on “Seinfeld” managed to slam two innocent children — Kim’s day-old baby and TLC’s Honey Boo Boo (aka Alana Thompson, 7). MENSA, of course, is an association of geniuses.
Kim and Kanye’s new baby, a Gemini, was born around midday on Saturday, June 15, the day before Father’s Day. As it happens, filming on the current season of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” has been ongoing — which means the baby will likely make an appearance on the show later this season, reports Deadline.com here. However, if you read the Deadline story, it gives plenty of reasons why the baby might not appear on the show, even while reporting that she will. Among the reasons: Dad Kanye doesn’t approve. Stay tuned.
