HBO Renews ‘True Blood’ for Season 7

HBO wants more “True Blood.” The vampire drama has been renewed for a seventh season, the cable network announced Monday.

The next season will debut in the summer, as usual, in 2014, with executive producer Brian Buckner, who took over the reigns earlier this year, returning as showrunner.

“‘True Blood’ remains a signature show for HBO, and a true phenomenon with our viewers,” said Michael Lombardo, president of HBO Programming. “Thanks to Brian Buckner and his talented team, the show continues to be a thrill ride like nothing else on TV.”
