Roseanne Barr revealed that she and CBS sitcom king Chuck Lorre have a rocky relationship dating back more than 20 years.

The legendary comedian and sitcom star talked about her relationship and past experiences with Lorre in an interview she gave while attending Comic-Con in San Diego this past week, according to this story.

It turns out that Lorre — now known as the producer of CBS hits “The Big Bang Theory,” “Two and a Half Men” and “Mike and Molly” — was a young writer on Roseanne’s old ABC show “Roseanne.”

The subject of Lorre came up when Roseanne was asked if she would appear on “The Big Bang Theory,” on which Johnny Galecki, formerly a child actor on “Roseanne,” is now starring. Galecki has reportedly been instrumental in bringing other former “Roseanne” vets onto “Big Bang” in guest-starring roles, including Sara Gilbert and Laurie Metcalf.

But Roseanne said she’s not a likely candidate for a “Big Bang” guest-starring stint, by virtue of her apparent long-held distaste for Lorre. Among other things, the story about her Comic-Con interview says she refused to guest-star on “Two and a Half Men” because she found the script she read to be “putrid.” And she said she fired Lorre from the “Roseanne” writing staff because, she said, he drank too much.

“I probably wouldn’t go on ‘The Big Bang’ because me and Chuck Lorre, we’re not friends,” she’s quoted as saying. “He should get over it. He’s in AA and when people are in AA, they’re not very forgiving. They need to start drinking and loosen up, I think!”

The story had no comment from Lorre.
