A reported plan to elevate Fox News Channel personality Megyn Kelly to prime time at 9 p.m. has caught the attention of her potential rival in the time period — CNN’s Piers Morgan.
“Bring it on @megynkelly,” Morgan reportedly tweeted when he heard the news, according to this EOnline story.

FNC officials have yet to make any official announcements that Kelly, 42, would host a prime-time show this fall that would replace “Hannity” weeknights at 9/8c. But in the only statement the network has released since the news broke earlier this week on The Drudge Report, Fox would neither confirm nor deny the report.
The Megyn Kelly prime-time program plan comes as a surprise for the simple reason that Sean Hannity’s show is among the highest-rated shows on all of cable TV — along with the show that precedes it, “The O’Reilly Factor,” and the one that comes after it, “On the Record with Greta Van Susteren.”
If there’s some good reason for replacing Hannity with Kelly, then Fox has yet to explain what that is. Her new show would compete directly with “Piers Morgan Live” on CNN.
A new Kelly show would not premiere until at least this fall, according to reports, since Kelly is on maternity leave from FNC.
