The cast of “The Good Wife” is setting some lofty expectations for the fifth season of the show.

Series star Graham Phillips, who plays Zach Florrick on the CBS series, raised the bar on the upcoming season after tweeting an intriguing comparison to “Game of Thrones.”

“just finished reading episode #505 of The Good Wife. Wow. This is the “Red Wedding” episode of our show,” he wrote.

Whoa. The Red Wedding episode was so shocking for viewers that a video compilation of fans crying over tragedies in the show went viral. The episode featured two favorite leading characters ambushed at a wedding that resulted in their deaths.

Oh wait, Phillips made a clarification after fans began to prepare for the worst.

“haha, “red wedding” in the sense that it really shocks you. not in the death/negativity sense,” he added later.

The last season of “The Good Wife” ended with Alicia (Julianna Margulies) agreeing to leave Lockhart/Gardner and launch a new law firm with Cary (Matt Czuchry). The new season begins Sunday, Sept. 29 at 9pm on CBS.
