LOS ANGELES (AP) — A publisher says it’s acquired actor-comedian Aziz Ansari’s first book.
The Penguin Press said Thursday that the untitled book by the “Parks and Recreation” star will focus on how technology has changed the lives of singles.

In a statement, Ansari he hopes the book will offer an interesting perspective on modern courtship. Penguin Press said Ansari will interview experts and conduct original research on the subject.
Ansari’s book is tentatively scheduled to be published in September 2015.
Ansari, 30, was born and raised in South Carolina — the son of immigrants from Tamil, India. With this obvious ethnic background, his character on “Parks & Rec” is nevertheless named, hilariously and incongruously, “Tom Haverford.”
