Perez Hilton is off the hook.
A judge has thrown out a lawsuit from Kristina Head, who appeared on the fourth season of “16 and Pregnant,” that charged libel against the gossip blogger over a murder insinuation, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The case centers around the death of Head’s fiancé Todd Hight, Jr., the father of her child that was featured on the MTV series. The season spotlighted Hight’s death and how it impacted her and her child.
However, last year, Hight’s mother Tina wrote on her son’s Facebook page that she was suspicious of the cause of his demise while on a beach trip with Head. She unleashed a number of surprising comments including “They killed him” and “We feel like they all planned this” as well as “I wonder if she cared @ all.”
Soon, Tina’s comments were noted on Hilton’s site Perezitos with the title “16 and Pregnant Murder Mystery!”
Upset with an implication, Head sued. In court, Perez Hilton attorneys successfully argued that Head “thrust herself into the public eye and brought public attention to Todd Hight’s death” by being part of the MTV show.
