Watch: Bill Murray Goes Liberace for Letterman’s 20th Anniversary

Bill Murray, David Letterman (CBS)

Bill Murray’s history with David Letterman is well documented. He was a guest on Letterman’s first episode as host of “Late Night” on NBC in 1982, and was a guest on the first episode of “Late Show” on CBS in 1993.

So to mark the 20th anniversary of the show on CBS, Letterman brought back none other than Murray to celebrate the occasion. Murray, however, wanted to leave an impression.

The actor made an entrance on the stage decked out as Liberace, with an ensemble that included a white vintage Rolls-Royce, a blond driver, furs, a small dog and a cape.

Despite the memorable return, Murray placed the spotlight back on the host.

“I’m only here for one reason,” Murray said while he pointed at Letterman.
