Leah Remini has lined up her first televised interview since breaking from the Church of Scientology, and no it won’t be on her former daytime series “The Talk.”
Instead Remini will appear on the Sept. 9 premiere of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” according to The Hollywood Reporter. The article states that during her interview, the duo will also dole out “Ellen’s biggest giveaway that will impact a community in need.”
Remini made headlines in July after breaking from her long time association with the church, telling People that she wasn’t going “to shut up” about her experiences with the religion.
“I believe that people should value family, and value friendships, and hold those things sacrosanct,” Remini said to the magazine after being a Scientologist for more than 30 years. “That for me, that’s what I’m about. It wouldn’t matter what it was, simply because no one is going to tell me how I need to think, no one is going to tell me who I can, and cannot, talk to.”
Remini has been busy in recent weeks. The former “King of Queens” star announced that she was writing a tell-all memoir and has reportedly been tapped to join the upcoming season of “Dancing With the Stars.”
