The late night host had Hollywood tourists read for the roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele out on the street.
The leads of “50 Shades of Grey” have been cast, though not without some internet fan backlash.
On Tuesday, “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” weighed in on the controversy, with the late night host worrying that perhaps the producers missed an opportunity to hire unknowns for the anticipated screen adaptation.
So Jimmy Kimmel held a live open call on the main street just outside his studio. Given the results, the jobs of Charlie Hunnam (Christian Grey) and Dakota Johnson (Anastasia Steele) are probably quite safe.
“Casting Director” Cousin Sal grabbed two couples on Hollywood Boulevard and had them role-play scenes from the best-selling novel.
“I’m basically looking for any perverted Hollywood tourist couple who knows how to read,” Sal explained.
