It’s a battle of the NBC network stars!

Donald Trump slammed Jay Leno, apparently for “allowing” Bill Maher to call Trump names on “The Tonight Show” Tuesday night.

“Jay sucks!” declared Trump in a tweet late Wednesday afternoon, near the end of a day in which various stories — including our own — recounted the attack comedian Bill Maher launched against Trump Tuesday night in an interview with Leno.

In a repeat of insults he uttered last winter, Maher this week called Trump — the star of “The Apprentice” on NBC — an “egomaniac,” a “moron” and an “insufferable racist” on “The Tonight Show” after Leno asked Maher to comment on Trump’s latest battle — a fraud lawsuit brought by the state of New York against Trump’s self-styled “Trump University.”

Trump fired back at both Maher and Leno on Twitter. “I’ve always defended @jayleno but he never defends me,” Trump complained in one tweet. “He’s not a loyal person & I now understand why everybody dumped him. Jay sucks!” Trump wrote, referring to NBC’s decision to replace Leno with Jimmy Fallon next winter.

Then, moments later in another tweet, Trump called Leno “stupid”: “I hear this moron @billmaher said nasty things about me (hair etc—boring) on the terminated @jayleno show,” Trump wrote. “Stupid guy/bad ratings!”
