ABC has bought the script for producer Jerry Bruckheimer’s half-hour single-camera comedy “Bagel Nation” about a Lebanese father who buys a Jewish deli, even though he’s not Jewish.

The show is inspired by writer Sheri Elwood’s real-life childhood. The family lives above and runs the deli.
