It doesn’t seem like a season of “Dancing with the Stars” until a celebrity gets injured.
Unfortunately, it was Bill Nye who fell victim this time around, injuring his knee during his performance on Monday night. E! News reports that that he is currently seeking treatment, but the injury is so severe, he may need surgery.
“We can confirm Bill Nye was injured during his performance last night and is currently seeking medical attention,” a rep for ABC told the site. “We will continue to keep you posted on his progress.”
Nye has quickly become a fan favorite despite drawing the lowest scores in each of his first two performances. Still, the first elimination saw Keyshawn Johnson leave the competition instead and Nye had the opportunity to continue.
Should Nye is able to recover and continue, Nye and dancing partner Tyne Stecklein are set to perform the Jive next week.
