Ask Dana Delany about the cancellation of her series “Body of Proof” after three seasons, and she has some choice words for the network that dropped the ax.
The actress was interviewed on HuffPost Live, and said that ABC was going to “regret” its decision to pull the plug despite decent ratings.
“I feel like we had three strong seasons,” Delany said. “I would just like to mention that the show that replaced us got half the amount of viewers that we did.”
That particular show would happen to be “Lucky 7,” a new series about gas station workers who win the lottery. “Lucky 7” debuted to 4.6 million viewers with a 1.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic favored by advertisers, according to Nielsen. Meanwhile, the last episode of “Body of Proof” in May drew 7.6 million viewers and a 1.2 rating.
“I think we did OK. I think they could have kept us a little bit longer and I think they’re going to probably regret it,” she said.
