Discovery Networks is getting mobbed up with Irwin Winkler and Nicholas Pileggi.

“GoodFellas” producer Winkler and writer Pileggi have entered a deal with Discovery for a scripted series called “The Five Families,” about a subject they know a thing or two about — crime families.

“The Five Families” will be the first scripted series “to invoke the real figures and actual events in the history of the Gambino, Genovese, Lucchese, Bonanno and Colombo Mafia families — the famed five crime families of New York,” the network said in a statement.

Pileggi will write the pilot script for the series.
