George Eads will reportedly be missing in action for a total of six episodes of “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.”

Eads, who plays investigator Nick Stokes on the long-running CBS cop show, was seen on the first three episodes of the new season — through Wednesday, Oct. 9.

But due to a dispute on the set during filming for the new season in August, Eads left the show, and remained out of action for six episodes, according to this story on the Entertainment Weekly Web site.

Eads, a long-running member of the cast of the venerable drama, won’t be seen again until the episode that’s tentatively scheduled to air Nov. 20, EW said.

Eads, as Stokes, was last seen Oct. 9.

His absence means he won’t be seen in a milestone episode scheduled for next Wednesday (Oct. 23) — the series’ 300th episode, which, among other things, will feature a return guest appearance by Marg Helgenberger as Catherine Willows, the character she played until she left the series in January 2012.

EW says the absence of Stokes will be explained somehow in the episode next week.
