Adam Lambert on "Glee." (Fox)

Am not gonna lie, am really looking forward to see Adam Lambert on this week’s episode of “Glee.

The show has been on hiatus for several weeks since the airing of the Cory Monteith tribute, “The Quarterback,” and looks to be returning with a strong episode.

Adam’s character introduces himself as Star Child which seems to really bug fellow NYU student Kurt!

“It’s an homage to Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars,” the character, whose real name is Elliot, tells Kurt (Chris Colfer).

Star/Elliot performs as his first song Marry the Night by Lady Gaga.

“He’s trying way too hard and he’s doing everything he can to make a good impression,” Adam explains.

He also shares: “It’s funny because I actually auditioned for the show years ago which was before I was on (American) Idol. The casting director was like. ‘Well, I love your voice but I think you’re too old to be in the show and so I didn’t get it. And the Idol happened.”

Colfer describes Lambert as “crazy talented.”

“What kind of lab experiment results in that voice?”
