The third season of TNT’s “Dallas” will start on Monday, Feb. 24, at 9/8c, TNT announced Monday.
The start date is about a month later than the start of Season Two, which began late last January.
No reason was given for the delayed premiere date. Nor did TNT’s announcement specify whether the “Dallas” third season would start with two back-to-back new episodes, as it did to kick off Season Two.
The network did note that all of the series’ principal stars will be returning, including Patrick Ewing, Linda Gray, Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe and Jordana Brewster. Cast patriarch Larry Hagman — “J.R. Ewing” — died a year ago (on Nov. 23), and his death was then reflected in the death of J.R. on the series last season.
Last season’s episodes scored a respectable average audience of 3.8 million total viewers, with an average of 1.7 million in the target demographic — adults 25-54.
The series is shot in and around Dallas, Tex.
