Holiday time at the end of the year tends to get blurry with so few days between Christmas break and New Year’s Eve. But since so many people are on vacation, there has been a lot of downtime with work that I’m using to catch up at home while binge watching a lot of TV!
I’m finally almost done re-watching “Felicity” and its been fun reminiscing during so many scenes. I was always a big supporter of Felicity’s (Keri Russell) relationship with Ben (Scott Speedman), but I don’t remember Noel (Scott Foley) being so creepy back then! His stalker behavior improves a lot by the time you make it to season three, but I liked him best when he was with Ruby (Amy Smart). It’s such a shame the writers decided to make her pregnant by someone else instead of having her and Noel take on the challenge become young parents.
It feels like I’m back in the 90’s again seeing the students with beepers, floppy disks, and Palm Pilots. So if I finish soon, I’ll check out other great shows from the era like, “Charmed,” “Alias,” “Party of Five,” and “My So-Called Life.”
If supernatural beings and all the drama that goes down when they share the planet with humans is more your thing, “Being Human” returns to the Syfy network with season four on Monday, January 13th, 2014 at 9pm. The network is airing back-to-back episodes until 3am. The series follows the lives of Sally (Meaghan Rath), Josh (Sam Huntington), and Aidan (Sam Witwer) — a ghost, werewolf, and vampire respectively, who share an apartment together. A lot has gone down in the first three seasons with this trio, but I don’t want to ruin it for those of you who haven’t watched it yet.
A new episode of “Major Crimes” airs at 9pm on TNT with special guest star Malcolm-Jamal Warner tonight. The former Cosby kid takes on the role of Special Investigation Section supervisor who is hunting down the person threatening Sharon (Mary McDonnell) and Rusty (Graham Patrick Martin). Meanwhile, the department keeps busy after there’s also a bomb explosion at a used-car sale that result in a fatality.
If you prefer to watch a movie, Salma Hayek in 2002’s “Savages” on HBO at 8:00 pm. Based on the Don Winslow novel of the same name, the crime thriller follows marijuana growers Chon (Taylor Kitsch) and Ben (Aaron Taylor-Johnson). The duo are such great friends that they share everything including profit from the business, a house, and even a woman— Ophelia (Blake Lively). Their business continues to grow in popularity and eventually catches the attention of the Mexican cartel, run by the notorious Elena Sánchez (Hayek) who offers them a partnership deal. When they decline, Elena sends her enforcer Miguel “Lado” Arroyo (Benicio del Toro) to kidnap Ophelia forcing the guys to do something drastic.
If you missed it in theaters, you need to watch this action-packed film! Check out the trailer below:
