After a long weekend, I am ready to get back to work and have a productive few days before it’s time to relax again! Did you guys catch the season two return of “The Following” on Fox this past Sunday? I had suspicions that someone as evil as Joe Carroll (James Purefoy) wouldn’t go out like that in a blazing fire so early in the series. Kevin Bacon, who plays Carroll’s nemesis Ryan Hardy, is also back and ready to once again attempt to rid the world of Hardy and his cult of miscreants. Hardy is trying to handle this on the DL, but Mike (Shawn Ashmore) can tell Hardy knows more than he will admit. I’m excited to see how this all plays out!
Also on Sunday, HBO debuted their new dramedy “Looking” that follows a group of gay friends living in San Francisco. I know that lead hunk Jonathan Groff has a lot of people excited, but don’t overlook his cutie Latino co-star Frankie J. Alvarez. The duo are super bff’s and I can’t even imagine what kind of trouble they will be getting into this season. Stay tuned….
Ok so enough about Sunday, what’s on TV tonight? I’m not afraid to admit that before the series first aired, I wanted to hate “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.” To be honest, I didn’t even really understand what it was about. But after fourteen episodes and two Golden Globe Awards, I’m so glad I gave it a shot. Tonight at 8:30pm on FOX, Terry (Terry Crews) returns to the field and learns from Jake (Andy Samberg), how to control his emotions. Elsewhere, Amy (Melissa Fumero) and Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz) investigate after someone breaks into Gina’s (Chelsea Peretti) apartment.
An all-new episode of “The Mindy Project” airs at 9:30pm on FOX. The gang is still in Los Angeles and Danny (Chris Messina) is trying to get out of seeing his father. He pretends to take Mindy (Mindy Kaling) to the airport but instead tricks her into being his plus one for his date with papi. Mindy has also conveniently broken up with hottie lawyer Cliff (Glenn Howerton), who got pissed off at her for seeing ex-fiance Casey (Anders Holm). Plus there was all those awkward feelings after Cliff turned Mindy down when she asked him to move in. So does this mean Mindy and Danny can finally be together? Or will we see them turn into Jim/Pam 2.0?
I swear, this is such a great show and I want it to last forever but the whole potential undercover love just feels so forced sometimes that I can’t decide whether I even want them together or not. Maybe I’m more ready for the weekend than I first realized?
At 10pm, ABC has a new episode of “Killer Women” entitled, “Warrior.” Molly (Tricia Helfer) finally gets her day in court and Jake (Jeffrey Nordling) has Dan (Marc Blucas) subpoenaed to the divorce hearing. Jake is not going out without a fight, so I’m dying to know what he will try to use against Molly to prevent the official dissolution of their marriage.
If you missed last weeks episode entitled, “Some Men Need Killing,” watch it in its entirety below:
