It has been a long week, and I am looking to get a few laughs in before the weekend. I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to be a little tickled before Thursday night wraps with the late night shows. Let’s kick off with a double dose of comedy with “Community” on NBC at 8pm and “Parks and Recreation” at 830pm also on NBC.
On the former, Annie (Alison Brie) and Professor Hickey (Jonathan Banks) prepare for the midterm dance and must navigate power struggles with the custodial, IT, and parking staff. On the latter, Rashida Jones and Rob Lowe say goodbye in the episode entitled, “Ann and Chris.” Ann and Chris spend spend their last night in Pawnee saying goodbye to their friends at a party thrown by Leslie (Amy Poehler) who’s determined to fulfill a promise before they go.
“Rake” is back with episode 2 entitled, “A Close Shave” at 9pm on FOX. Keegan (Greg Kinnear) defends three Amish baker’s when they’re accused of attempted murder for shaving off the beard of a bishop who was trying to save a woman he thought was in danger. Meanwhile, Ben (John Ortiz) and Scarlet (Necar Zadegan) plan a recommitment ceremony.
CBS will air “Dead Clade Walking” on “Elementary” at 10pm. Watson (Lucy Liu) examines one of Sherlock’s (Jonny Lee Miller) cold cases and discovers that an unsolved murder is connected to a rare prehistoric fossil. Meanwhile, Holmes enters uncharted territory when his duties as a sobriety sponsor cross his personal boundaries.
Last night on “Jimmy Kimmel Live“, one of my favorite actors visited the show in support of his new film. Andy Garcia talked about working with Vera Farmiga (“Bates Motel“) on “At Middleton” where they play two parents who fall in love over the course of a single day while playing hooky from their children’s college tour. In case if you missed it, here’s the video below:
