Plenty to report about today including KeKe Palmer’s poised to make TV history, Kenya Moore’s considering leaving “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” and the “Today” show’s Tamron Hall on People’s “Most Beautiful” issue. Plus, check out my TV watchlist and what’s hot (Outkast adding another lineup) and not (the KKK’s plans for a Pennsylvania neighborhood). Enjoy!

KeKe Palmer to become the youngest TV talk show host? It appears that away. The 20-year-old singer-actress will be hosting “The Keke Palmer Project,” a talk show aimed at millennials, on BET. The TV show has been picked up for an initial four-week run and will air Monday through Friday beginning in July, according to Telepictures will produce it. “Judge Greg Mathis, whose long-time syndicated court show ‘Judge Mathis’ is produced by Telepictures, is executive producing after being instrumental in bringing together the Warner Bros TV syndication division and Palmer,” continues. This news immediately brought back memories of “Teen Summit,” a youth-oriented talk show that aired Saturday mornings on BET from 1989 to 2002. I loved “Teen Summit,” whose slogan was “kick the truth to the young black youth!” Now, this show will probably skew a little older than the “Teen Summit,” which was aimed at a high school and college-age audience. I wonder how many millennials will tune in for this? I’m sure college students may but will anyone else, especially if it’s in the daytime? I still think it’s good she’s trying her hand at new projects. Remember when we first saw her in “Akeelah and the Bee”?  Then she had her own Nickolodeon series,“True Jackson, VP,” and starred last fall as Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas in “CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story.” She will next star in the Drew Barrymore-produced horror film “Animal,” has a six-episode arc on Showtime’s “Masters Of Sex,” co-stars in the Queen Latifah–produced “Brotherly Love” and in the indie “Imperial Dreams,” which premiered at Sundance, reports. Someone’s keeping very busy. Congrats to KeKe for continuing to diversify her portfolio.

Kenya Moore says she’s considering leaving “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” Yeah, right! Kenya Moore told the Associated Press that she’s considering leaving the hit show after watching the televised dust-up between her and cast mate Porsha Williams during “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” season six reunion special. Kenya recently told the AP: “We all agree that we don’t condone violence. We’ve become angry with each other, we’ve threatened each other and gone to the edge. But at the end of the day, we know there’s a line. If there are no consequences, then where does it end?” While I don’t doubt viewing the footage may have been eyeopening, I mean, all of the women (with the exception of Cynthia Bailey and maybe Kandi Burruss), behaved pretty catty and immature during the reunion special. It may have made for good TV but it wasn’t a good look. And I’m sure Kenya realizes this. But I don’t think it’s enough for her to exit the show. She’s probably making the most headlines now since she was crowned Miss USA in 1993 (why didn’t her entertainment career take off?) and we know how intoxicating “fame” can be. Unless a better opportunity comes along (or her African prince puts a ring on it), her exit claims seem to be a form of damage control, to show she’s disgusted with how the special unfolded (as she should be). But Mama (that’s me) ain’t buying it. Are you? Should Kenya leave the show? Hell, should they all call it a day? Watch part one of the “RHOA” reunion special below and let me know. Who’ll cover People mag’s “Most Beautiful” issue? I haven’t paid attention to People magazine’s “Most Beautiful” list in years. But a “Today” show segment I saw this morning has me thinking about it again. Co-host Tamron Hall spoke with People’s Jess Cagle about the issue, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. As a kid, I had been a fan of it, mesmerized by beauties like supermodel mogul Iman, supermodel Karen Alexander, singer-actress Brandy, Halle Berry and the late Whitney Houston (by the mid-1990s she’d already been featured in the magazine a then-record five times) who were featured inside. So when Tamron and Jess buzzed about who’d be this year’s cover model, I (surprisingly) became intrigued, too. Who’s big? Who’ll sell issues? Let me clarify that I in no know way think that People is an arbiter of who’s beautiful as many have argued about its cover picks and there are some BEAUTIFUL people who’ve never been featured and probably never will be. Along with looks, Jess said they also consider “who sells.” For example, Julia Roberts’ been featured on the cover four times and she sells issues. People are interested in her. For the 2014 issue, which unveils Wednesday, I would say it wouldn’t surprise me if it was either Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence or, dare I say it, Lupita Nyong’o. These two women are hot and Lupita’s been everywhere. Now, that would be news. Guess we’ll have to check back with “Today” tomorrow as Jess will be back for the cover reveal. Who do you think will cover the issue? Check out the segment discussing this pressing issue below.
