Jim Parsons and David Letterman (CBS)

Since the NY premiere for ‘The Normal Heart’ was earlier this week, cast members from the upcoming HBO film were making the round at the NY-based talk shows. Here’s “Big Bang Theorystar Jim Parsons chatting up David Letterman about the movie and out NFL Player Michael Sam on “The Late Show With David Letterman.” Here’s what he had to say.

Taylor Kitsch grabbed some time with Jimmy Fallon over at “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” earlier this week and is first surprised when Fallon shows him a picture of a younger Kitsch when he frosted his own hair (true story!) and then they segue into a more serious chat about the actor’s role in HBO’s upcoming “The Normal Heart.” Leave it to Jimmy Fallon to bridge the two worlds with finesse!

Fashion Policehost Kelly Osbourne is working with one of my favorite organizations, The Trevor Project, and, to put it bluntly, needs a date. The Emmy-winner is attending the Trevor Project NextGen Prom and one lucky donor could end up on the arm of Ms. Osbourne. In a press release, Osbourne said, “I’ve always admired the Trevor Project’s incredible work, and when I heard about the prom I jumped at the chance to support such a fabulous idea…to think that so many LGBTQ teens have never been able to experience this iconic event in everyone else’s life, is heartbreaking. I’m absolutely excited to be part of this amazing evening that will, no doubt, be full of acceptance, kindness, laughter and love.” To donate and for a chance to be Kelly’s date, please visit:

The cast of 'Designing Women' (CBS)

****If you’re like me, there’s nothing you love more than a good Julia Sugarbaker rant so hop over to Logo on Saturday for an all-day marathon of the classic sitcom “Designing Women.’ The network is counting down the top 20 episodes from the series (voted for by fans on the Logo Facebook page) in what they’re calling ‘The Saturday Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia’ marathon. The fun starts at 2pm ET on Logo but check local listings, too.
****Finally, who else but Oprah Winfrey would land out and NFL-drafted Michael Sam for a multi-part documentary about his groundbreaking journey. In a press release, Winfrey said, “We are honored that Michael is trusting us with his private journey in this moment that has not only made history but will shape it forever…I am proud of the focus on authentic storytelling in our new documentary series format.  The next real-life story we follow in ‘The Untitled Michael Sam Project’ promises to spark valuable, important discussion on life in America today.  Acceptance and illumination start here.”

Michael Sam (OWN/Discovery)

Sam added, “Like every player out there working to make a team right now, my focus is on playing football to the very best of my ability…I am determined. And if seeing my story helps somebody else accept who they are and to go for their dreams too, that’s great.  I am thankful to Oprah for her support and excited to work together.” No airdate yet on the documentary.
