Here’s what’s trending today: Denzel Washington and Antoine Fuqua’s latest project, the reasons why Jon Stewart wants Republican Herman Cain to run for president and Justin Bieber’s latest controversy. Plus, there’s my watchlist and what’s hot ( the mini Destiny’s Child reunion) and not (this whole thing with Justin Bieber). Enjoy!
Denzel Washington teams with Antoine Fuqua for western? Denzel Washington may reunite with “Training Day” director Antoine Fuqua to remake “Magnificent Seven,” according to The Hollywood Reporter. Though Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt were at one time considered for the film, Denzel is reportedly in early talks with MGM for the remake. “If deals close for Washington and Fuqua, it could push Fox’s ‘Narco Sub’ to the back burner (Fuqua also has an offer to direct that film),” THR reports. Denzel and Antoine also united for Sony’s big-screen adaptation of “The Equalizer,” set to debut on September 26. I haven’t seen the original “Magnificent Seven” but may check it out. However, I do remember when “The Equalizer” was on when I was kid though I never saw an episode (I do remember the logo’s red lettering and thinking star Edward Woodward favored Michael Caine). Read more about Denzel and “Magnificent Seven” here and watch “The Equalizer” trailer below.

Jon Stewart really, really wants Herman Cain to run for president. I stumbled upon this funny snippet from “The Daily Show With Jon Stewart” where Jon expresses his desire for Republican Herman Cain to pursue his Oval Office dreams in 2016. Mr. Cain–who I met and interviewed when he was running for U.S. Senator in 2004–made quite an impression as a candidate for the 2012 U.S. Republican Party presidential nomination. From his cheating scandals and catch phrases, this businessman, who many considered to be a formidable candidate, would definitely keep things interesting over the next two years. Watch the clip below to find out why Jon feels “it is imperative that this man runs for president.”

Justin Bieber … I watched the video TMZ posted of a 14-year-old Justin Bieber-with his infamous Bieber hair and all–singing “There’ll be one less lonely n*****,” a parody of his song “One Less Lonely Girl.” Really, Justin? This video comes days after another surfaced showing Justin, this time 15, making racist jokes. What’s really going on with this kid? Wasn’t he already under Usher Raymond’s (a black man) tutelage around this time? First his brushes with the law, arrest and now this. It seems that this 20-year-old’s world is crumbling fast. While Justin clearly doesn’t know what to do with himself, “The Talk’s” Sheryl Underwood sure does. Check out the clip below where she shares her thoughts on Justin’s latest controversy.

HOT: Rihanna’s attire (or lack thereof) at the CDFA Fashion Awards (She was definitely channeling Josephine Baker!).
NOT: Whatever is going on with Justin Bieber (SMH. Canada, please come and get your boy…).
