Just as the season finale is set to air tomorrow night, MTV has renewed it’s freshman comedy “Faking It” for a second season for 10 more episodes.
“We’re thrilled to be renewing ‘Faking It!’ ‘Faking It’ has proved to be the perfect companion show to ‘Awkward,’ retaining nearly 90 percent of its lead in each week,” said Susanne Daniels (President of MTV Programming) in a press release earlier today. “We’re excited about Carter Covington’s delicious plans for season two.”
According to the release, “Faking It” is the highest-rated new series launch on MTV this year, with an average of 1.5 rating among P12-34 and 1.4 million total viewers each week. The series stars Katie Stevens, Rita Volk, Michael Willett, Gregg Sulkin and Bailey Buntain. The series was created by Carter Covington.
The “Faking It” first season finale airs Tuesdays at 10:30pm on MTV.
