It’s almost Friday, and you know what that means. You’re only a couple of days away from shutting off your alarm and enjoying a long weekend. It was recently announced that NBC has renewed the freshman comedy, “Welcome to Sweden” and I couldn’t be happier. The network will air back-to-back new episodes with “Separate Lives/Saknad” kicking off the comedy hour at 9pm.
Bruce (Greg Poehler) returns to America to help former client, and real life sister Amy Poehler (playing herself) resolve her financial woes. In Sweden, Emma (Josephine Bornebusch) ponders her relationship with Bruce as she deals with the arrival of her former boyfriend, and Viveka (Lena Olin) tries to recapture her youth. Aubrey Plaza also guest stars.
If you were a fan of Ms. Olin during her time on “Alias,” you’ll have a great time seeing her play a comedic role.
The season finale entitled, “Home/Återförening” will air at 930pm. The season finale already? If it hadn’t been renewed I’d be beside myself. But I digress. Bruce lands in a compromising position with Aubrey Plaza (playing herself), yet again. Emma tries to reconnect her parents with Gustav’s (Christopher Wagelin) help; and Bruce must overcome obstacles in his quest to return to Sweden. Amy Poehler guest stars.
An all new episode of “Married” will air at 10pm on FX. In the episode entitled “Waffles & Pizza,” AJ (Brett Gelman) & Lina (Judy Greer) encourage Russ (Nate Faxon) to consider a shady real estate deal. Jess’s (Jenny Slate) boss puts her in an uncompromising position.
Did you catch James McAvoy on the “Late Show with David Letterman?” The talented (read: gorgeous) Scot shared an anecdote with the late night chat show host about the time an Argentinian woman confused him with Ewan McGregor. No offense, but I’d never make that mistake!
