To close out Bruce Springsteen week on “Late Night,” Jimmy Fallon had The Boss back on Friday for an interview and a few more songs from his new album “Wrecking Ball.” But Fallon couldn’t resist a new duet between his version of Neil Young and Bruce doing some version of Past Bruce.
“The NFL hired the talent and produced the halftime show,” NBC spokesman Christopher McCloskey said. “Our system was late to obscure the inappropriate gesture and we apologize to our viewers.”
Madonna positioned herself as the queen of a new generation of pop stars at the Super Bowl halftime show – complete with throne – but didn’t have complete control of her show.
Will Drake and Tony Bennett be the next to pair off on one of Bennett’s “Duets” tunes? Maybe not. But the rapper and crooner are among the guest who’ll perform on NBC’s “New Year’s Eve With Carson Daly” special on Dec. 31.
