1. "The Oprah Winfrey Show": Oprah's Final Episode

Oprah Winfrey is one of the most influential people in America. Her book club turned unknown novels into bestsellers. Her interviews with celebrities forever altered their images; nobody will ever forget Tom Cruise jumping on her couch. Her endorsement of Obama early in his 2008 campaign is even credited with helping him win the presidential election. So when Oprah decided to end "The Oprah Winfrey Show" after 25 years to focus on her OWN cable channel, everyone wondered how she would say goodbye. Oprah chose not to have any guests, instead spending the hour reflecting on what she learned from hosting the show, and thanking her viewers for their loyalty. Depending on how you feel about Oprah, it was either moving and inspirational or self-indulgent. One thing is for certain: their will never be another show that makes so much of an impact on so many people. (Photo: Harpo)
