Oprah Winfrey

Although Winfrey grew up in complete poverty and was even raped as a child, she is now one of the richest and most influential African-American women in the 20th century. She is most famous for her incredible talk show “The Oprah Winfrey Show” which ran from 1986 till 2011 and it was the highest-rated program in television history. Winfrey is also an actress, producer, and philanthropist. She has created several charities and scholarships and it is estimated that Winfrey has given away over $400 million to educational causes. —XFINITY Entertainment Staff
