Aretha Franklin

Known as the "Queen of Soul," Aretha Franklin’s career has lasted over 50 years, which has led her to sell over 75 million records worldwide and win numerous awards including 20 Grammys. Her songs vary from gospel, jazz, R&B, pop, blues, rock, and funk. Franklin also became the first female artist in 1987 to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and in 2012, she was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame. —XFINITY Entertainment Staff
