Eddie Murphy Then

Eddie Murphy first gained fame as a regular on “Saturday Night Live” in the 1980s. He was one of the personalities who helped revive the show after its first big slump. Murphy’s first movie, 1982's “48 Hrs.” became a major hit. Murphy is also a musician, and his song "The Boys are Back in Town" was used in the movie "48 Hrs." His career then took off, and he starred in other hits like “Beverly Hills Cop” and "The Nutty Professor." —XFINITY Entertainment Staff
