Whoopi Goldberg Then

Whoopi Goldberg has become one of the most influential actresses in her generation. Her first role onscreen was in 1981 in “Citizen: I’m Not Losing My Mind, I’m Giving It Away.” Her breakthrough film was “The Color Purple” which was released in 1985. She won a Golden Globe for her role in the movie, and since then she has been in several blockbusters. —XFINITY Entertainment Staff
