3 of 24

Queen Latifah Then

Dana Elaine Owens, better known as Queen Latifah, was first discovered and signed by Tommy Boy Music. She released her first rap album, “Wrath of My Madness” in 1988. Latifah's film career began in 1992 with the films “House Party 2” and “Jungle Fever,” but it was the Fox TV series “Living Single” which made her really successful. Although Latifah gained a lot of recognition in the 1990s, her role in "Chicago" helped her rise to stardom. —XFINITY Entertainment Staff
