In 2011, the internet was abuzz with word that “Hustle & Flow” star Terrence Howard had left a threatening voicemail for a total stranger. Sure enough, audio soon followed, in which the actor identifies himself before angrily saying, “You been calling my wife… If you call my wife again, I’m going to come to your house and I’m going to cut your [expletive] throat. Understand that. I’m gonna tell you this one time. You call my wife again, I’m going to kill you.”
As it turns out, the recipient of the threats had called Howard’s now-ex-wife Michelle Ghent, but had intended to prank call the actor on his phone instead. Reflecting on his irrational response to the prank, Howard called back and was recorded saying, “I’m so sorry for calling you and speaking that way. I thought you were somebody that’s been harassing my wife. Please forgive me." —XFINITY Entertainment Staff (Photo: Michael Buckner/Getty)
