Child Stars: Then and Now

17 of 144

NOW: Fred Savage

He may have been the youngest actor to ever earn an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, but Savage had a hard time shaking his "cute kid" image as an adult actor. Much like fellow child star Ron Howard, Savage moved on to directing. His recent work includes directing episodes of "2 Broke Girls," "The Michael J. Fox Show," "Modern Family," "The Crazy Ones," "Friends with Better Lives" and "Playing House." Savage is making a return to TV this fall in the Fox show "The Grinder." —XFINITY Entertainment Staff (Photo by Timothy Hiatt/Getty Images)
