Speech at the Great March in Detroit

The march in Detroit, commonly known as "The Walk to Freedom," occurred on June 23rd, 1963. Thousands of civil rights activists marched through Detroit singing and demanding the end of segregation. MLK then delivered a speech at Cobo Hall stressing that it was their duty to take part in the walk to freedom and participate in other demonstrations in order to end the era of racism and inequality. —XFINITY Entertainment Staff
