The "Fast and Furious" franchise has always been a financial gold mine, but the popular films were certainly never going to win Oscars. In fact, each of the first four films got progressive worse reviews for their anemic characters, lame racing plots, cheap thrills and subpar special effects. But all that changed with the fifth installment, which embraced its own absurdity, became a full-fledged action film and added Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to the cast. "Fast 6" later marked the series' greatest achievement, and "Furious 7" is on track to be even better. —XFINITY Entertainment Staff (Photo: Universal)
