It’s chock full of probiotics -- 'good' bacteria that help your digestive system better digest food and prevent gastrointestinal issues like constipation that can keep you from having a flat stomach, says Dr. Harlan. He recommends having at least one serving every other day. One caveat: Steer clear of flavored cartons. “Be sure to opt for plain yogurt and just add some fresh fruit if you desire more flavor,” advises Dr. Harlan. “Sugary yogurts are often lower in probiotics and much higher in calories, while sugar-free versions contain sugar alcohols that spur gas and bloating.”
