Gol-Gol River

The Gol-Gol River is covered with volcanic ash from the erupting Puyehue-Cordon Caulle volcano near the Chile-Argentina border road Cardenal Samore, over 500 miles south of Santiago, Chile, Tuesday June 7, 2011. The huge cloud of ash from the volcano on Tuesday extended through Argentine territory to reach the border with Paraguay, blanketing rivers, highways and runways. Authorities have evacuated about 3,500 people from the area. (AP Photo/Alvaro Vidal)
