Originally the Minneapolis Lakers, the team moved to Los Angeles in 1960 and has only missed the playoffs a handful of times since. Some of the most famous names in the history of the sport played for the Lakers, including Magic Johnson, Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Kobe Bryant.
