Clippers Trade Eric Bledsoe
Doc Rivers is already shaking things up at the helm for the Clippers. L.A. shipped Eric Bledsoe and Caron Butler to the Suns in return for J.J. Redick and Jared Dudley. The Bucks were pulled into the deal, receiving a second-round draft pick from both the Suns and the Clippers.
John’s Take: Great move by the Clippers. J.J. Redick is a 39 percet three-point shooter for his career while Dudley makes 40 percent of his shots from beyond the arch.
The Clippers could afford to sacrifice the athleticism of Bledsoe for sharp shooters that will spread the floor.
The Suns picked up an exciting player to watch in Bledsoe. He played well filling in for an injured Chris Paul last season. Both Bledsoe and Butler are in the last year of their contracts, which gives Phoenix plenty of options come free agency next year.
As for the Bucks, they traded away a first-round draft pick to pick up Redick last season. Now they trade him away for a second-round pick? I don’t know what’s going on in Milwaulkee. (AP Photo/Chris Carlson)
